VSCO has always been a company we’ve admired – they truly represent everything that makes us excited, and everything we try to do with Neue Goods – the intersectional of technology and creativity.
The only interaction the majority of people would have had with VSCO, is via their mobile app – but VSCO is much, much more. A recent example of this is their collaboration with Rains. Together they’ve created a limited edition long jacket “inspired by both Scandinavian weather and design heritage”.
When speaking about the collaboration, this is what VSCO had to say – “We’ve long admired RAINS’ aesthetic, which champions functionality without sacrificing style and their ability to recognise great design outside of their own brand and product. Their collaborations with global brands such as Opening Ceremony, as well as their spotlights on local artists and artisans, inspired us to want to create something together.”
The jacket is a classy, yet classic silhouette which features RAINS’ waterproofing technology alongside minimal VSCO branding details. VSCO produced a lookbook for the jacket which was shot by New York based photographer, Brian Kanagaki.
We absolutely love this foray in branded physical products, and hope this is only a sneak peek into VSCO’s future.
